Lukas

I’m Lukas, a street photographer. As it turns out, these days I view myself more as an artist. I’ve come to embrace the creative freedom and expression that comes with the title. To me, being an artist means delving into the depths of imagination and emotion, weaving them together to create something uniquely captivating. It’s about pushing boundaries, challenging perceptions, and ultimately, leaving a lasting impression through my work.

Back in the old days, I studied Media- and Computer Science with a focus on Movie- and Post-Production. You’ll notice my experience as a Motion Artist occasionally reflected in my work. I like to incorporate structured and geometrical elements while maintaining an emotional relationship between the protagonists.

Interestingly, despite my background, I somehow ended up in IT, and now I find myself repairing the family’s computer every Christmas. It’s become a bit of a tradition!

Aside from street photography, I also enjoy shooting underwater scenes, sports events, fashion shows, and food photography.

Let me tell you a bit about my style, skills, and gear. I prefer using a high depth of field in my shots. My motives often revolve around themes like relationships, tolerance, and strong characters. I aim to create discreet yet eye-catching images that sometimes reference well-known movies.

I shoot with a bold cam approach, using a 5D Mark III paired with a 50mm f1.4 lens. This setup allows me to capture the essence of the moment with clarity and precision.

Oh, and here’s a fun fact about me: I’m a certified Dive Master with a passion for underwater photography. If you’re interested, you can check out some of my other work here.
